I completely and thoroughly agree with ...Well said. I completely and thoroughly agree with you Dr. Onomuakpokpo.

This was my view too. Why is Trump calling PMB now? They are not friends at all and have never been and maynever be. Trump knows that he can con any Nigerian President into whatever will benefit him and his Presidency. Of every challenges currently confronting Nigeria, Trump is inviting PMB to supply him arms and ammunition. Preposterous! How and Why? The West especially the UK and USA are the predators of our prevailing conditions in Nigeria. They are the perpetrators of the hardship and religious and tribal divisions at all level that we are combatting today. They are not our friends; they are our archenemies. Unfortunately, our leaders have failed to recognize this. It is unimaginable that a country as blessed as Nigeria has no good health care. It is unimaginable that a whole President of a country can fly to another country to attend to his health issues because he has failed to make provisions for a good health care in his country. It is unheard that a President can stay away from his post of service to his nation indefinitely because his country cannot provide the health care needed to keep him alive. This is a worldwide disgrace to Nigeria and her citizens. I hope and pray that PMB will return home and embark in revamping the country’s health system, a 24/7 power supply, good roads and seek ways to eliminate the word corruption from the government. We can do it, we have enough resources to do it, including the millions of dollars and pounds recently recovered from Andrew Yakubu, Diezani and many others. If we are waiting for the West to help us, it means giving them more room to make us subservient to them and usurp our resources. And we may never be an independent nation in reality. We better grow up and help ourselves.
PMB, I will advise you to stay away from Trump and concentrate in making changes to Nigeria as you promised your voters. Review the age of the people in service; political and non-political. Everyone above the age of 65 should be forced to resign or retire. Review salaries of Senators and others and make it commensurate to our nation’s level. For goodness sake, how much can anyone eat at any one time? A friend once said, an enemy of the mouth, is a friend of the stomach. Too much of food is an indirect invitation of illness to the body. How many houses, rooms /beds can you sleep in a night? How many cars can you drive at any one time and how many outfits/clothes or shoes can you wear at any one time? Can you wear a suit and put agbada on top of it, then add caftan on top? It is not possible, that will be insanity. At best, you will change your outfit three times a day. Apparently, this is not possible unless you are an infant. So I ask myself, why all these greed for money that belongs to a nation. Why are we defrauding ourselves to enrich other countries? Is this madness or a complete devoid of common sense? Just imagine the suffering of our people in the diaspora; Libya of all countries is killing and maiming our youths like their lives have no value or meaning, truncating their destinies.
Let’s give our younger generation a chance, an opportunity to thrive and revamp the country, I know they will do a better job. Enough word for the wise.
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03695104592380269758noreply@blogger.com
