Igbo in the D...Excellent advice on the way forward.
Igbo in the Diaspora need to formulate their input in two main directions to lend cohesion to the Biafra struggle.
One. A dialogue of some sort needs to be fashioned to reason with the South Eastern governors en-block that they need to promugate a disclaimer about the military invasion of the South East. They may have "proscribed" IPOB in a hasty decision to curtail rioting and public misconduct BUT that was not intended to have the Nigerian army subsume the work of the Nigerian police and Not even for the Nigerian police to engage in armed attack of unarmed civilians agiting within the boundaris of the law of the land. They need to make it clear to the federal governemnt of Nigeria that their authority as governors of the peole was thrashed by the same goverment they serve and protect the people with.
They then ask the govt of Gen. Buhari to forthwith withdraw the Nigeria army from every public place in The South east zone, confine them in their barracks or move them to other states in Nigeria other than the South east.
The Governors can maintain law and order with the civilian Civil defense apparatus already established in the East and can be supported if needed, by whatever vestige is left of the true Nigeria police representing all "tribes" and officers as should be.
Two. The diaspora Igbo must fashion some route of engagaement with the leadership of IPOB ( and Massob) so that by dialogue and cooperation, the most useful and productive direction of the struggle shall be well considered and not any more whimsical steps and missteps which confuse and discourage support for the true Biafra desired in every Biafran heart who sees how Nigeria has dealt with us.
Ohaneze, as now constituted, shoudl be seen as a blessing and poised to bring true leadership to the apex of Igbo focus. I believe that The Diapsora Igbo can provide the link between the three bodies, Governors, IPOB/MASSOB leadership and Ohaneze.

But the Diaspora Igbo/Biafra needs to forge some new body not through (WIC, IWA, TIWA, or any of the current divisions of us) but WITH all of them or as many as can join by representation, so that we can raise funds and put some money where our mouth and heart is.
If Biafra comes sooner than we thought, she will need to land running with her own fuel in her tanks. Raising funds make people (especially detractors) think about buying arms. That too, and a nation should not ever think of not protecting herself from foreign invasion. But Biafrw will need heavy funds to start off printing her currency, running a govenment and all the duties therein.
On the short term. IPOB/MASSOB and all the spearheads of the current struggle should not be left on individual efforts and finances. That way we avoid personal investments with plans to reap huge personal returns from the public coffers at the earliest opportunity..... the Nigerian way.
O gwu otu o ha m.
OmenkanyaOmenkanyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18250944247821202497noreply@blogger.com
